Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a Cancel and DNR ###REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years Experience REQUIRED.Traveler Experience: Unit WILL NOT ACCEPT 1st Time TravelersLocals Accepted / Rate Difference: YesSkills: Vents, IV Start, Neuro Intensive Care Unit, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Continuous IV sedation, CVA/Acute Stroke management, External ventricular drains (EVD), ICP Monitoring, Post Neurosurgery management, Care of Ventilated Patient, Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE, Lumbar Drain experience***Strong Neuro experience, MUST BE 2 YEARS, NO LESS******STROKE Patients is one of their largest patient populations***Certs: ACLS, BCLS, NIHPREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:Skills: Arterial line managementJOB DETAILS:-RATIOS: Ratios 2:1 (can flex up to 3:1 in high census and nurse must be comfortable with this if needed). Average Daily Census 11-12-SHIFT: *36 Hours Can Be Offered-Unit Will Accept 13 Weeks!-12 HOUR NIGHTS; 18:45 - 07:15***RTO: 7 Days MAX for AYA AUTO OFFER***-Call Requirement: NONE-Float Requirement: YES-Weekend Requirement: EVERY OTHER WEEKENDPATIENT DIAGNOSES: We are a comprehensive stroke center. Patient population: strokes (ischemic, hemorrhagic [SAH]), SDH, craniotomies, carotid stents, carotid endarterectomies, aneurysm coiling/clipping, seizures, Depth electrodes, myasthenia gravis. Drains used: EVDs, LDs, hemovacs, Camino (ICP monitoring)SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Comprehensive Stroke CenterSPECIAL EQUIPMENT: EVD, Lumbar Drains, Camino, LICOX, NICOM and Arctic Sun.UNIT SYSTEMS: Pyxis, EPIC, SBARSCHEDULING TYPE: Per the Unit NeedsUNIT ORIENTATION: 24.0 Hours; 2 days or 2 nightsSCRUBS: Navy blue & White.*** INTERNAL NOTES ******Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for, this specialty******MUST have 2 YEARS in NEURO ICU, IF NOT PLEASE REDIRECT******STRONG Neuro Critical Care Background, not just general ICU. If they do not have, PLEASE DO NOT SEND!
