Senior AI Software Engineer Category: Software Development/ Engineering | Main location: United States, Texas, Dallas | Position ID: J0626-2173 | Employment Type: Full Time Our Texas Business Unit is growing rapidly and is looking for Senior AI Software Engineers to join a close‑knit team with access to global resources. Accepted candidates will work on a variety of industries, technologies, and geographies while enjoying the personal touch of our local operating approach. Location and Work Model This position can be located at any CGI office in the U.S.; the preferred location is Dallas, Texas or Atlanta, Georgia. A hybrid working model is acceptable. Future Duties and Responsibilities As a senior engineer, you will help the team lead and product owner understand requirements, groom stories, and assist with design and implementation strategy. This hands‑on technical role requires expert level skills to implement features, troubleshoot issues, and define best practices. You will also collaborate with other engineers on the team of various levels and diverse skill sets. Required Qualifications Primary / Mandatory Skills Python & Web Frameworks: Demonstrated expertise in Python and at least one major web framework. API Development: Hands‑on experience developing RESTful APIs using FastAPI and GraphQL API using Strawberry. Streaming Data Platforms: Experience working with streaming platforms such as Kafka or Event Hubs to develop real‑time pipelines. Database Management: Strong proficiency in designing, integrating, and managing multiple databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB). Big Data & Distributed Computing: Experience with Spark and Delta Lake for scalable data processing. Databricks: Hands‑on experience with Databricks for collaborative data engineering and machine learning workflows. LLM APIs: Experience with LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Llama, or other mainstream GenAI models. Cloud Computing & Azure Architecture: Good understanding of cloud computing concepts and solution architecture, focusing on Microsoft Azure. Containerization & Orchestration: Experience deploying and managing applications using Docker containers and Kubernetes orchestration. CI/CD Pipelines: Experience creating and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. System Design: Proven experience designing and building medium‑sized applications with around 5,000 daily active users. Concurrency Tools: Experience handling high concurrency using multiprocessing, multithreading, or actor models. Soft Skills: Excellent problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail, and strong communication skills. Secondary / Desired Skills Model LLM Interface: Experience using LangChain to interact with GenAI model APIs. Full Stack Development: Bonus experience in full stack development. Front‑end Technologies: Familiarity with JavaScript, React, or Next.js. Industry/Domain Knowledge: Telecommunications domain knowledge is preferable.
