Position Title: AP Supervisor


Location: Costa Mesa, CA - Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote)


Assignment Type: Direct Hire;


Compensation: $75,000 - $90,000 + discretionary bonus


Work Schedule: M-F, 9-5

Job Description:


Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to take ownership of the full-cycle accounts payable function and help strengthen the overall AP process. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys managing the day-to-day AP process while also identifying ways to improve efficiency and accuracy.


The AP Supervisor will oversee a small AP function, work closely with internal departments and vendors, and coordinate with remote team members to ensure invoices and payments are processed accurately and timely.

Responsibilities:
• Own the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice processing, coding, approvals, reconciliations, and payments
• Oversee approximately 600-800 invoices per month and manage weekly payment processing
• Provide guidance and support to an AP Clerk and coordinate with remote AP resources
• Review AP activity for accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice and payment questions
• Maintain organized AP records and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding items
• Identify opportunities to improve AP procedures, workflows, and controls
• Help optimize the use of the company's accounting systems and improve overall AP efficiency
• Partner with the Controller and other internal stakeholders on process improvement initiatives
• Ensure AP activities are completed accurately and in accordance with established policies and procedures

Qualifications:
• Strong full-cycle accounts payable experience with the ability to independently own the AP function
• Prior supervisory or lead-level AP experience preferred
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently while coordinating with both local and remote team members
• Process improvement experience strongly preferred
• NetSuite experience strongly preferred
• Experience with Bank of America CashPro is a plus
• Strong Excel and general accounting systems experience
