Machine Builder / Mechanical Assembler (Contract)

Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Duration: 4–6 Week Contract

Pay: Up to $35.00/hour (based on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Machine Builder / Mechanical Assembler to support the assembly of custom industrial packaging equipment. This is a short-term contract opportunity with a growing manufacturer that designs and builds high-quality automated packaging machinery.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building machinery from mechanical drawings, enjoys working with precision, and takes pride in producing quality equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble custom packaging machinery and equipment according to engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Install and align mechanical components, including frames, bearings, shafts, conveyors, motors, and other machine parts.
• Use hand and power tools to complete mechanical assembly.
• Verify proper fit, alignment, and operation of assembled equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during the build process.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure projects are completed on schedule.

Qualifications

• Previous experience building industrial machinery or automated equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read mechanical drawings and assembly prints.
• Experience using common hand and power tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot and make mechanical adjustments as needed.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
