Details Medical/Surgical Stepdown unit in a hospital setting Cardiac drip management, EKG strip interpretation, and all types of wound care are part of regular practice Strong IV skills required for day-to-day patient care Floating to the Med/Surg unit is required Every other weekend and holiday coverage required Requirements Active NY RN license required Current BLS and ACLS certifications required NIH Stroke Scale certification required prior to start Minimum 2 years of current Med/Surg Stepdown or similar experience required Travel nursing experience preferred Proficiency with cardiac drips, EKG interpretation, IV placement, and wound care required Additional Information Travel experience is preferred but not required 8 hours of continuing education units (CEUs) must be completed as part of facility orientation Two supervisory references are required for consideration: one from within the past year and one from within the past 2 years American Traveler Job ID P-728879.
