ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Utica, New York. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/26/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Stroke Stepdown Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Night shift: 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with floating required. Job Description The Registered Nurse will provide care for medical-surgical stroke stepdown patients. The unit focuses on adult patients with a variety of diagnoses including stroke, altered mental status, renal issues, COPD, CHF, isolation, general medical-surgical needs, pneumonia, and pulmonary conditions. Responsibilities Assess and monitor patients in the stroke stepdown unit. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Utilize specialty equipment including IV pumps and feeding tubes. Collaborate with a healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans. Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout hospital stay. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical nursing with stroke stepdown experience. Active NY Registered Nurse license and all active RN licenses. Current AHA BLS and NIHSS certification; NIHSS certification can be obtained prior to start.
