Qualifications & Experience:

• Active RN license in California with previous school nursing or pediatric experience preferred
• Expertise in specialized medical care, including gastrostomy tube management, bladder catheterization, diabetes/insulin care, and carbohydrate counting
• Skilled in supporting students with autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, seizure disorders, and hypo/hyperglycemia in ages 4-22
• Confident in administering medications such as EpiPens and antihistamines as needed
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents-bilingual Spanish skills a plus
• Flexibility for rotating assignments between campuses and engaging with various students throughout the day

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough reviews and updates of seizure and individualized health plans
• Train school staff on specialized medical procedures and emergency responses
• Serve as a vital bridge for parents and students, ensuring trust and familiarity
• Remain available for urgent healthcare needs during school hours
• Deliver hands-on care directly to students as necessary, prioritizing safety and empathy

This assignment involves 18.5-22.5 hours weekly during Extended School Year (ESY) and centers on providing individualized, attentive care.
