Job Description AECOM is seeking Safety, Health & Environmental Manager for an onsite position based in New York, NY. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Implements policies and procedures to assure awareness of and compliance with health and safety requirements of the organization. Provides technical leadership and functional guidance to ensure regulatory standards are being enforced. Ensures that quality control procedures are executed to monitor all aspects of regulations. Serves in a liaison capacity with the resident contract agency representative and other various agencies engaged in promoting environmental safety and health activities. Drafts all necessary reports to federal, state and local agencies. Coordinates audits of health and safety programs within the organization. Assists in the development and conducts basic health, safety and environment (HSE) training to employees. Communicates programs to enhance employee awareness of prevention and compliance. Administer a HSE program on a large, specialized, complex project or multiple projects. Qualifications Minimum Requirements BA/BS in Safety, Engineering or related degree plus 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Preferred Qualifications Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification. 10 years of relevant EHS field and management experience in construction, preferably experience in underground construction & tunneling. Familiarity and experience with NYCDEP safety and health regulations. OSHA 10-hour Construction Health and Safety Course (30-hour Preferable). Initial and Annual Refresher OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120/1926.65 HAZWOPER. Knowledgeable in OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and 1910 Regulations. Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certifications.
