Role Description The Patient Services Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based at Hart Dental in Mitchell, SD. This position is responsible for welcoming patients, managing check-in and check-out processes, and ensuring a positive experience throughout each visit. Day-to-day tasks include scheduling and confirming appointments, answering phone calls, responding to patient inquiries, and maintaining accurate patient records. The role also involves collecting payment and coordinating with clinical team members to support efficient patient flow. The Patient Services Specialist will provide clear communication about treatment, office policies, and follow-up care while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to practice guidelines. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Appointment Scheduling skills and experience coordinating patient visits in a busy office environment. Candidates should possess professional Phone Etiquette and Communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and team members. Candidates should possess familiarity with Medical Office procedures and workflows to support front desk and administrative operations. Candidates should possess a basic understanding of Medical Terminology, preferably with exposure to dental or healthcare settings. Additional beneficial qualifications include excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask, and comfort using practice management or electronic health record systems.
