Pay: $22-$28 per hour, based on experience

DBS Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Welder-Fabricator to join our team in Atlanta, GA. This is a hands-on position for individuals who have strong welding and metal fabrication skills and can work from engineering drawings with minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate will have experience laying out, fitting, fabricating, and welding custom components and assemblies while maintaining high quality standards and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and weld symbols
• Layout, fit, and fabricate steel components and assemblies
• Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of fabricated parts
• Operate fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, drill presses, and other shop equipment
• Measure, mark, and cut materials to precise dimensions
• Inspect completed welds and fabricated assemblies for quality and accuracy
• Work closely with team members to resolve fabrication and assembly issues
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Previous welding and fabrication experience required
• Proficiency with MIG welding required
• TIG welding experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience using common fabrication equipment and measuring tools
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods

Welding Qualification Requirement

All candidates must pass a practical welding test administered by DBS Manufacturing. Test welds will be evaluated and submitted to an independent third-party laboratory for certification. Existing welding certifications are welcomed and will be considered; however, all applicants are required to successfully complete the DBS qualification process regardless of current certifications.
