Job Description Olsson is seeking a Civil Construction Manager/Inspector with a strong background in construction materials testing to join our team, working on diverse construction projects throughout the Omaha metropolitan area. This role also offers the opportunity to contribute to remote projects across the company. As a Construction Manager/Inspector, you will be responsible for overseeing complex construction projects, managing the quality of construction at the site. You will act as a quality assurance manager, representing the owner regarding all construction activities. Responsibilities include tracking special inspections and materials testing, overseeing RFIs and submittals, attending project meetings, and verifying that project documentation complies with owner requirements. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the quality assurance program at the project site. Read and interpret plans and specifications at various project stages. Initiate actions to keep construction on schedule. Solve on-site problems related to construction and design modifications. Work in various terrains and weather conditions. Identify and mitigate potential hazards for workers and the public. This position includes: Use of a company truck for transportation to and from job sites. Provision of applicable PPE. Reimbursement for prescription safety eyewear and work boots. Company-issued laptop. Cell phone reimbursement options. Qualifications You are passionate about: Collaborative work. Attention to detail. Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and codes. Valid driver’s license and good driving record. Flexibility in scheduling. 3-5 years of experience in construction materials testing, observation, or administration. Preferred certifications: ACI Field Grade 1, Nuclear Gauge Safety Training, OSHA10 or OSHA30. Associate or bachelor's degree in a construction-related field is preferred but not required.
