Responsibilities
- Organize and facilitate the patient’s perioperative course in the operating area, ensuring smooth coordination among the surgeon, anesthesiologist, and room staff.
- Serve as the first assistant during surgical incision, excision, and repair for procedures with granted privileges, across the perioperative period.
- Participate in preoperative assessment and planning for selected surgical patients in collaboration with the broader care team.
- Demonstrate subject matter expertise in medications, treatment interventions, and patient care standards applicable to perioperative care.
- Maintain sterile technique, instrument handling, and patient safety protocols throughout operative care.
- Communicate clearly with the surgical team to support optimal patient outcomes and timely case flow.

Requirements
- Perioperative nursing experience and ability to function as a first assistant on procedures with granted privileges.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and room staff.
- Knowledge of perioperative medication, treatment approaches, and patient care standards.
