Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume emergency department seeing approximately 180–200 visits per day, serving a patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:4, performing independent lab draws and IV starts
• Care for a diverse case mix including trauma, CVA, orthopedic, and neurological patients; facility serves as a CVA center
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including ED physicians, NP/PA providers, nurse aides, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and pharmacy staff
• Utilize the Meditech 6.15 EMR system for all documentation and patient management
• Adhere to department dress code (Caribbean Blue scrubs) and complete floor-specific orientation within the first week as scheduled

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum of 5 years of registered nursing experience with at least one prior travel assignment
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR (version 6.15 preferred)
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and CPI certifications required
• ASLS or NIHSS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-acuity emergency department with trauma, neuro, and CVA patient populations
• Familiarity with behavioral health protocols and working in or adjacent to a locked psychiatric/behavioral unit
• Experience working alongside respiratory therapy teams managing ventilated patients
