Construction Controller - Metro Atlanta

Strong Stable Company is offering a Controller Opportunity. This role supports financial leadership, strategic planning, and operational alignment across departments. The position is open for immediate hire and is located in South Atlanta - close to the airport. The office environment is hybrid or in-office. The salary includes base, bonus, pension, outstanding benefits, and generous PTO.

The Controller will lead the accounting function for a growing construction firm, driving accurate financial reporting, operational efficiency, and compliance with internal policies and industry standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing month-end close, general ledger, and financial reporting
• Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Performing job costing, WIP reporting, and AIA billing
• Maintaining internal controls and accounting procedures
• Collaborating with project managers and senior leadership on financial strategy
• Coordinating external audits, tax filings, and insurance requirements
• Supervising accounting staff and ensuring accurate payroll and benefits reporting

Qualifications include:

• Strong background in construction accounting
• Advanced proficiency with Sage 300 (Timberline) and related ERP tools
• CPA preferred but not required
• Knowledge of GAAP and construction industry compliance standards
• Excellent communication and cross-department collaboration skills
