The Propulsion group is an organization that supports the Propulsion, Structures, Ordnance, and Controls directorate within FBM that is responsible for the manufacturing and production of the boost rocket motor subsystem.This position is for a Mechanical Engineer whose responsibilities will focus on propulsion hardware, manufacturing processes, and deployed system support. Collaborating well in a team environment and having excellent communication skills are key to success in this position. Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in a related discipline - Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field Any combination of exposure to: engineering project management, propulsion rocketry, manufacturing, and/or energeticsProficiency in Microsoft OfficeAbility to work in a collaborative and team-based environmentAbility to obtain a DoD Secret ClearanceDesired SkillsMissile and/or aerospace related education or experienceExperience with FBM processes and productsHardware experience including, analysis, assembly, integration, and testExperience with EVM and developing Basis of Estimates, Technical Evaluations, and SSOWsExcellent verbal/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical audiencesProficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practicePay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
