Junior RecruiterThe Junior Recruiter supports the recruitment process for assigned positions across the organization. This role assists with sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and pre-employment processing, and helps ensure a positive candidate experience and adherence to recruiting procedures.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesManages the day-to-day recruiting process for full-time and temporary positions, from posting through start date.Partners with hiring managers to keep job descriptions, hiring criteria, and workforce needs up to date.Posts openings on approved internal and external channels.Finds candidates through job boards, workforce partnerships, employee referrals, staffing agencies, and other sourcing channels.Reviews applications and resumes to identify qualified candidates.Conducts phone screens to confirm qualifications, availability, and interest.Coordinates interview scheduling between candidates and hiring managers and follows up to collect feedback.Keeps hiring managers in the loop on where candidates stand in the pipeline.Helps HR leadership with offer logistics, preparing offer letters, confirming start dates, and similar tasks.Initiates and tracks pre-employment steps: background checks, employment verifications, drug screenings, and work eligibility documentation.Supports the temp-to-perm conversion process by preparing the necessary documentation for review and approval.Keeps candidate and requisition data accurate and current in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).Pulls together recruiting reports - applicant flow, time-to-fill, requisition status — for HR leadership.Helps track agency usage and spend against the recruiting budget.Supports documentation needs during recruitment-related audits.Helps ensure recruiting practices stay in line with company policy and employment law.Maintains recruiting files per company policy and record-retention requirements.Participates in job fairs, hiring events, and workforce initiatives as needed.Other duties as assigned.SkillsStrong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple open requisitions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Ability to build effective working relationships with hiring managers, candidates, and external agencies.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Ability to manage a high volume of calls to and from candidates.Willingness and ability to quickly learn the organization's ATS and HRIS systems.EducationRequired: High school diploma or equivalentPreferred: Bachelor's degree (or coursework in progress) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related fieldWork ExperienceRequired: Previous experience working or volunteering in an office environment requiring confidentiality and strong organizational skills.Preferred: Six months to one year of Human Resources experience through employment, internships, or related coursework.Physical RequirementsProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to occasionally lift and move files, office supplies, or other materials weighing up to 15 pounds.
