In this role, you'll play an important part in our company's financial operations, ensuring accuracy in accounting and compliance with the law.Principal ResponsibilitiesPosting journal entries and accrualsBank account reconciliationsAssist with posting bank activity and preparing bank account reconciliation for Gold Star DivisionsBe the liaison between accounting team and the operational teams on forecasted spend to ensure recording appropriately in ledger.Assist with other month-end closing activities and provide management with reports, data, and analysis as requested for month-end closing and various auditsAssist with preparing monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analysesWork with the appropriate department to research and resolve discrepancy issues timelyReview daily issues and work with the team to resolveWork with the Division Controller in completing a clear year end auditOther duties as assignedRequired SkillsFoodservice distribution experience (Preferred) and/or supply chain experience (Plus)Experience with inventory cost accounting and understanding of accounting for manufacturing (Required)Intermediate/advanced Microsoft Excel skills (i.e. pivot tables & vlookups)Hands-on experience with accounting and ERP software (Microsoft Navision / Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to demonstrate advanced analytic skills, including excellent mathematical skillsExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with multiple levels and multiple departments within an organizationStrong understanding of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Education/Experience3 years' experienceBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business (preferred)Salary: $75,000.00Working Conditions and Physical DemandsThis position will be in an office setting at a desk equipped with computer, monitors, phone, and other applicable resources/equipment. It will require the applicant to routinely sit, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and bend for up to 8 hours.
