Job Description

Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting elementary students and school teams as you share your expertise in educational assessment and psychological services. This full-time role, beginning October 12th and extending through May 26, 2027, offers steady 30-hour work weeks dedicated to two supportive elementary environments near Huntsville, AL. Split your time equally—15 hours at each school—where you'll make an impact through new referrals and re-evaluations, ensuring students receive the services they deserve.

Ideal candidates will hold a valid Alabama School Psychologist or Psychometrist Certification and thrive in a collaborative, student-focused setting. Reliability, excellent communication skills, and a deep knowledge of Alabama’s special education evaluation requirements will help you flourish in this environment.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

Current Alabama School Psychologist or Psychometrist Certification
Solid grasp of Alabama guidance and mandates for Special Education Evaluations
Demonstrated dependability and punctuality
Strong collaborative approach when working with school teams, students, and families
Professional experience with referrals, assessments, and re-evaluations in PreK–5 settings preferred

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive psychological, educational, and developmental evaluations
Collaborate with educators and administrators to design effective support plans
Facilitate and participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings
Maintain accurate, timely documentation and reports
Support students, caregivers, and staff with guidance throughout the evaluation process
