Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to patients in the PACU, managing post-operative recovery for thoracic, orthopedic, neurology, vascular, urology, and general surgery cases.
• Monitor patient's physiological status during the post-anesthesia period and provide appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with charge nurses and supervisors to maintain unit workflows and patient care standards.
• Manage cases of high acuity and respond to changing clinical situations to ensure patient safety.
• Participate in a call schedule to provide unit coverage during holidays and critical periods.
• Adapt to the dynamic schedule of a unit open 24/7, including holiday scheduling commitments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years recent PACU experience required.
• Current AHA ACLS and BLS certifications.
• NIHSS Certification required.
• Proficiency in Cerner electronic medical records.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including 10 a.m. - 10:30 p.m., M-F.
• Commitment to work 2 major holidays and 1 minor holiday as specified.
