The Production Coordinator at Southland Steel plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of our production process. This position is responsible for working closely with the production team to streamline production workflows, manage schedules, and maintain positive customer interactions. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Workflow Management
  • Collaborate with the production team to optimize workflow processes, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor and track the progress of production tasks, identifying and resolving any bottlenecks or delays.
  • Maintain accurate records of production materials, inventory, and resources.
• Scheduling and Planning
  • Create and manage production schedules, taking into consideration production capacity, resource availability, and customer demand.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources required for production.
  • Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate rush orders or changes in production priorities.
• Reporting and Documentation
  • Maintain accurate records of production data including production reports, inventory levels, and quality control documentation.
  • Generate regular reports to provide insights into production performance and areas for improvement.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Highschool Diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree in industrial technology or engineering highly preferred
• Experience in a production, manufacturing, or construction field is desirable
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn in a fast-paced production environment.
• Recent or soon to be college graduates encouraged to apply
