Business Operations Manager

Our client, a leading organization supporting Government Affairs operations, is seeking a Business Manager to join their team. As a Business Manager, you will be part of the Government Affairs (GA) organization supporting the DC office and executive leadership. The ideal candidate will have strong vendor and invoice management skills, a detail-driven approach to fiscal documentation, and the ability to provide executive-level support with professionalism and urgency, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

• Oversee vendor and law firm management, including onboarding and invoice processing for Government Affairs in Collaborati and TeamConnect
• Administer industry association memberships, dues, and sponsorship payments with accurate tracking and timely processing
• Support legal matter management systems and troubleshoot invoice or matter-related issues to keep operations running smoothly
• Maintain clear tracking systems and documentation of all Government Affairs payments in SharePoint
• Manage executive expense reporting in Concur and coordinate executive travel and events for the EVP of GA in close partnership with the Office Coordinator

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
• 5-7 years of experience in business operations support, project management, and/or executive support
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in an in-office environment
• Proficiency with systems and documentation workflows, including invoice processing and payment tracking
• Ability to serve as a finance liaison by supporting effective financial resource allocation and alignment with long-term targets
