R&D Operations Senior Manager

Amgen seeks a Senior Manager to lead R&D budget management and execution, overseeing annual planning, quarterly forecasts, and financial reporting for research organizations. The role includes team leadership, financial analysis, and partnership with R&D leadership and finance teams to translate business strategy into accurate budgets and spending insights.
Responsibilities
- Lead annual budget planning, quarterly forecasts, close activities, and financial reporting for assigned R&D organizations
- Translate business priorities and strategy changes into accurate budget projections and financial forecasts
- Manage and develop Budget Management & Execution team members with coaching and capability building
- Provide financial analysis supporting functional initiatives, scenario planning, and business case development
- Establish governance practices, improve financial processes, and advance self-service analytics and reporting tools
Requirements
- Experience managing end-to-end budget planning and execution processes
- Proven financial analysis and forecasting capabilities in complex environments
- Team leadership and people development experience
- Advanced proficiency with financial planning and reporting systems
- Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with capital and operating expense management
