CNC Operator

CNC Operator position available in the Dexter, Michigan area working at our client location who is a growing manufacturer.

Contract to hire opportunity with a pay range of $18.00 to $20.00 an hour plus $2.00 per hour shift premium. DOE. Night shift position. Hours are 4:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. MondayFriday. OT may be required. The CNC operator will operate and maintain CNC lathes or mills to produce high-quality parts while meeting production standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities for the CNC Operator position:

• Set up and operate CNC lathes or mills
• Maintain production levels and ensure part quality.
• Perform basic machine maintenance (cleaning, oiling, stocking materials).
• Change tools, drills, and inserts as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, depth mics, pin gages, comparators).

Qualifications & Skills for CNC Operator position:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 13 years of CNC machining experience or equivalent training.
• Lathe or mill experience -(Tsugami Swiss-type experience preferred).
• Ability to read blueprints and use non digital measuring equipment accurately.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
• Self-motivated with willingness to learn machine maintenance.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
