Software Engineer, Practice

Role Description

Aiwyn is hiring a senior software engineer to join the team that owns our accounting practice management platform. This platform is crucial for how firms track work, bill for it, and collect payments.

• Build the systems firms run their business on.
• Own the services, infrastructure, and confidence metrics that let practice management grow at speed without sacrificing accuracy or trust.
• Work in the trenches with domain experts to understand how accounting firms operate.
• Build and extend APIs for seamless integrations with firm systems, data sources, and downstream tools.
• Take projects from spec to ship to scale, owning the work end to end.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a track record of full ownership of projects.
• Hands-on technical depth in domains where correctness matters.
• Experience in project management and/or fintech software (preferred but not required).
• Demonstrated ability to bridge engineering and non-engineering domains.
• AI-native fluency with a clear point of view on AI tooling.
• Comfortable across the stack: backend, frontend, or infrastructure.
• Bonus: experience building or contributing to billing, ledger, workflow, RBAC, authentication, or comparable systems.

Requirements

• Experience in project management and/or fintech software.
• Ability to work closely with non-engineering experts and build shared language.
• Experience in areas where correctness is non-negotiable.
