Restaurant Manager

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Restaurant Manager at South Village Hospitality Group. The Restaurant Manager is responsible for supporting the Operations Director and Co-Service Managers by training, developing, and managing all FOH team members, managing day-to-day operations, maintaining company standards and conditions, and fostering a positive and humble environment. Ensure the entire space looks, smells, and feels great- lighting, temperature, restrooms, cleanliness, seating arrangements. Collaborating with the Operations Director and Owners on any aesthetic improvements, among many items to be reviewed in your required weekly upper management meetings. Supporting the Beverage Director by ensuring proper execution of beverage service and continuing education of the team. Be adaptable in a fast-paced environment and proficient in various tech/software systems including Toast POS, Schedulefly, Adobe and Microsoft platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership skills
• Proven ability to lead, train, schedule and motivate FOH & BOH Teams
• Stong knowledge of Restaurant Operations, guest service, food safety, sanitation and NYC Health Department requirements
• Knowledge of liquor service regulations
• NYC Food Protection Certificate required
• 3+ years of restaurant management or supervisory experience; NYC restaurant experience preferred
• Toast POS knowledgeable
• Strong ability to manage daily operations, opening/closing procedures, inventory, ordering and labor costs
• Flexibility availability, including evening, weekends and holidays
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to coach employees, address performance issues and maintain a professional work environment
• A passion for hospitality
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
