Direct Support Professional DSP

Job Description Direct Support Professional (DSP) A direct support professional (DSP) functions as a team member for the care, training, safety and supervision of our residential adults with intellectual disabilities that we serve. You will be trained to support our residents along with certifications of CPR, First Aid, AED as well as medication distribution. The daily goal is to help our residents to be as independent and 'connected to the community' as possible. This includes not only home life but also different outings planned with their abilities in mind. We value our caring professionals as much as the individuals we serve. PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE DSP
Be healthy and physically fit including the physical requirements of lifting individuals, standing for long periods, crouching, twisting/turning, weight bearing, swimming, walking and other physical activities as required. Be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Exhibit abilities to see, hear and speak to individuals under their care. Must possess a valid driver’s license to operate and drive a vehicle as well as have dependable transportation. Hourly rates begin at $14.50 per hour. For Full Time employees, Health Insurance and other benefits are available after 60 days’ satisfactory employment. PTO and vacation time as well as other perks. Are YOU the person we are seeking?
