Training and Accreditation Program Manager (Psychologist)

The Child Guidance Clinic provides court ordered clinical interventions and psychological assessments to youth under the supervision of CSSD. This population typically includes youth ages 10 to 17; however pursuant to D.C. Code §16-2303, this may extend to individuals up to 21 years old. The Child Guidance Clinic also serves as a nationally recognized training site for graduate psychology students. It is accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) and is a member of the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC). The Training and Accreditation Program Manager will provide oversight, planning, and coordination of all training activities that take place within the Child Guidance Clinic. This includes the American Psychological Association (APA)-accredited psychology internship program. The incumbent for this position will fulfill these duties, serving as the primary coordinator and administrator of all training activities associated with the CGC’s internship and externship programs. Minimum Qualifications: A doctoral degree in School, Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an American Psychological Association-accredited psychology program from an accredited college or university, three (3) years of post-internship experience in a role that requires the application of established scientific methods and principles of professional psychology, and two (2) years of supervisor experience. Satisfactory completion of all the requirements for the doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology is required. Graduation from the DC Court's Management Training Program may be substituted for one (1) year of supervisory experience. You must provide documentation of your management training (i.e., a copy of the certificate) with your application. Must possess or be able to obtain within 180 calendar days of appointment, a valid license to practice psychology in the District of Columbia Courts.
