Franchise Attorney

Join a Leading Multi-Unit Franchise Organization A rapidly growing, multi-brand restaurant and retail organization with more than 1,000 locations nationwide is seeking an experienced Franchise Attorney to join its in-house legal team. This is a unique opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of nationally recognized franchise concepts, advising business leaders on franchise law, development, real estate, acquisitions, and strategic growth initiatives. What You'll Do Draft, review, and negotiate franchise, development, renewal, and transfer agreements. Advise on franchise compliance, including federal and state franchise regulations. Support legal due diligence and transaction structuring for acquisitions of franchise brands, locations, and multi-unit operators. Provide legal guidance on real estate transactions, lease negotiations, and development agreements. Assist with franchise program development, including franchise disclosure documents (FDDs) and franchise agreements. Partner with operations, finance, development, and real estate teams to identify and manage legal risk. Manage outside counsel and oversee franchise-related legal matters. Monitor franchise law developments and regulatory changes across multiple jurisdictions. Support dispute resolution involving franchise agreements, vendor contracts, and operational matters. What We're Looking For J.D. from an accredited law school with active Texas bar membership (or eligibility for admission). 5+ years of legal experience with a strong concentration in franchise law. Experience representing franchisors, franchisees, or large multi-unit franchise organizations. Strong knowledge of the FTC Franchise Rule, franchise registration requirements, and FDD preparation. Experience with mergers and acquisitions involving franchise businesses is a plus. Excellent contract drafting, negotiation, and business counseling skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, high-growth environment. Strong communication skills with the ability to advise executive and operational leadership. Why Join Us?
