Diagnostic Account Executive - Atlanta

The Diagnostic Account Executive (AE) is responsible for promoting and selling diagnostic technology to laboratories in an assigned geographic territory. Responsibilities Exceed quota on all assigned product lines Place instrumentation by effectively selling to prospects and customers Perform account management effectively to maintain current base business Effectively block competitive activity and convert competitive accounts to Hologic Develop and achieve accurate sales forecast of reagents and capital equipment Attend local and national professional trade shows and events and promote product to prospective customers Keep abreast of local billing and reimbursement issues Lead the planning of overall strategy for the team to include DSSs, CAS/FAS and Management Team Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the basic knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. Education Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university Experience Minimum of three years of medical capital sales experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Laboratory sales experience preferred Molecular and/or Anatomic Pathology sales experience preferred Specialized Knowledge Expertise in Microsoft Windows and Office, specifically Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and other popular business software desirable Additional Details Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills Since this position requires extensive driving during the workday, a valid driving license and satisfactory driving record as well as a serviceable vehicle available for work use is mandatory. Based on territory, overnight travel may be required to effectively grow territory sales. The total compensation range for this role is $185,000 to $220,000. This is based on a base salary and commission plan combination. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, territory/ geography, education, business needs, market demand and performance versus quota.
