Material Program Manager

Position Summary Material Program Manager (MPM) – Support for the SPY‑6 Design Agent Program at RTX. Onsite role in Tewksbury, MA (836 North St, Innovation Building). U.S. citizenship and an active Secret‑level DoD security clearance are required. Key Responsibilities Lead material planning and execution activities for qualification and production break‑in. Coordinate design‑agent procurement activities, purchase‑order placement, and delivery performance. Ensure material availability aligns with engineering, quality, and program schedules. Identify and mitigate material risks, resolve supplier issues, and drive execution of critical milestones. Serve as liaison among supply chain, engineering, quality, and suppliers to transition from development to production while maintaining schedule commitment. Communicate program requirements to suppliers undergoing design‑agent updates. Conduct supplier engagements related to capability, capacity, opportunity, and risk. Lead team, supplier/program engineering, and redesign efforts. Ensure supplier supports MRP, MPP, and MPS. Develop and execute risk/opportunity plans, manage proactive mitigation. Monitor performance metrics, proactively address program and functional issues. Act as key supplier and customer interface; build program and supplier relationships; lead weekly and quarterly engagements. Identify and mitigate vulnerabilities in supplier performance. Facilitate product and process changes through collaboration with suppliers, engineering, and quality. Facilitate resolution of product non‑conformances. Participate in program/engineering reviews and change boards. Commit to obtain MPM certification after experience in the role. Required Qualifications University degree or equivalent experience plus minimum 8 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree plus minimum 5 years of experience. Supply‑chain experience. Experience with supply‑chain planning tools (e.g., SAP, Kinaxis). International procurement or supplier‑management experience. Experience executing on multiple program and contract types (EMD, LRIP, FRP, cost and fixed‑price). Certification or experience in Six Sigma or similar process improvement methodology. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. Leadership abilities and proficiency working in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience leading in a team environment. Additional supply‑chain or program‑management certifications. Benefits and Compensation Salary range: $107,500 - $204,500 per year.
