Provides comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence-based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes for the patient. Organized and prioritizes patient care activities balanced with the needs and comfort of the patient. Demonstrates accountability for own ethical behavior and supports ethical practice by addressing and/or escalating issues. Serves as an advocate for patient needs by demonstrating holistic care practices. Demonstrates the ability to recognize and adapt to changes in patient’s condition (i.e. lab, vitals, signs and test values) in a timely and clinically appropriate manner. Utilizes SBAR format to notify physicians and other providers of clinical findings, and perform nurse-to-nurse reports at the bedside. Job Requirements Required Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Active Nursing license in good standing valid to work in Arizona Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support card (AHA BLS) Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support card (AHA ACLS) within 90 days of hire Preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) One year recent acute care experience Where You\'ll Work St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center is a 576 bed non-profit facility providing quality health care to patients and communities in and around Phoenix, Arizona.
