Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily accounting operations of the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and managing the month-end and year-end close processes. This role supervises accounting staff, supports audits and tax compliance, and partners with the VP of Finance to improve financial processes and reporting capabilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Month-end and year-end close Financial statement preparation Account reconciliations Fixed asset management Sales tax, income tax, and audit support Oversight and training of accounting staff

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting CPA required 5–8+ years accounting experience Public accounting experience preferred Month-end close ownership Financial statement preparation Skills GAAP knowledge Revenue recognition Fixed asset accounting Sales and use tax Process discipline Training and mentoring Problem-solving Time management Audit findings, reviews and resolution Close cycle completion
