Join Our Team in the Prepared Foods Division as a Wastewater Operator!The Wastewater Operator plays a critical role in supporting safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible wastewater treatment operations. This position is responsible for operating, monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting wastewater treatment systems while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills to help maintain reliable plant operations and support environmental stewardship.Responsibilities:Operation of wastewater analysis laboratoryOperation and maintenance of wastewater collection systemOperation and maintenance of wastewater pre-treatment systemOperation and maintenance of wastewater full treatment system or operation and maintenance of any other type of water or wastewater treatment system.Collecting samples for analysis in accordance with EPA state and or health departments regulationsPerforming a variety of chemical analysis both in and out of a laboratory settingMaking system adjustments based on interpretation of results from chemical analysisMaking educated decisions on maintaining regulatory compliancePerforming mathematical calculations utilizing basic algebraic formulas and a calculatorCompleting computerized reportsCompiling information and correctly completing monthly reports as required by permits state authority EPA or corporate management.Utilization of basic organizational skills basic mechanical skills basic electrical wiring skillsProper communication of current operational status to upper managementMaintaining operations logsPerforming minor to major maintenance on equipmentOperation of a spotter tuck and or a forklift.Requirements:Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.Experience: 1 plus years Maintenance/Wastewater experience preferred.Computer Skills: Basic computer skills with knowledge in Word and Excel.Communication Skills: Good interpersonal and communication skills are critical.CERTIFICATION: Must successfully complete a storm water training program selected by site management within thirty days. Candidates must also successfully complete and obtain lowest grade certification program within twelve months or in accordance with State regulations.
