Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified Surgery Physician Assistant (PA) to provide comprehensive surgical and patient care support in a dynamic hospital setting. The PA will work closely with surgeons, physicians, and healthcare teams to assist in various surgical procedures and manage medical-surgical patient care across general surgery, OB/GYN, and orthopedic units. The role involves assisting in operating rooms, providing surgical first assist duties, and managing patient rounds, notes, and discharge processes. Candidates must possess recent experience, NY State licensure, and certification in BLS, ACLS, and ATLS.


Schedule:

• Start Date: 07/27/2026
• 4x10-Hour shifts (07:00 - 17:00)
• Full-time, with potential for weekend and weeknight call as needed, including Friday 5p to Monday 7a, and occasional weekend coverage.

Qualifications:

• NY State License
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience
• AHA BLS, ACLS, ATLS certifications
• Epic experience and surgical assist experience preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Unit Details:

• Staff: 1 provider, 1 anesthesia, 1 LPN
• Patient acuity: Adults with diverse medical needs
• Bed count: 109
• Patient ratio: 1:10-15
• Charting system: EPIC
• Automated medication dispensing: Pixys

Dress Code & Policies:

• Business casual attire with close-toe shoes, well-groomed appearance, and conservative jewelry and makeup
• ID badge must be worn at all times
• Follow appropriate protocols for cell phone use, breaks, and overtime with prior approval
