Sr. Robotics Mech Engineer, Velocity

As a Hardware Development Engineer within the Velocity team, you will design, develop, and deliver mechanical components and systems for Amazon's next generation of products. You will work with cross-functional teams to transform concepts into manufacturable designs that meet customer needs and business requirements.Key job responsibilities- Deliver mechanical design projects from concept through production, ensuring designs meet functional requirements, cost targets, and manufacturing constraints- Create 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and specifications for mechanical components and assemblies- Conduct engineering analyses including tolerance stack-ups, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and Finite Element Analysis (FEA)- Develop and execute test plans to validate mechanical designs against product requirements- Collaborate with industrial designers, electrical engineers, and manufacturing partners to integrate mechanical designs with other subsystems.- Identify and resolve technical issues during development and production phases- Document design decisions, test results, and engineering changes- Support Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) activities- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of design processesA day in the lifeAmazon offers a full range of benefits that support you and eligible family members, including domestic partners. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
