Job Details Position: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Type: Travel assignment Location: Seattle, WA 98122 Start Date: September 21, 2026 Duration: 26 weeks Shift: 12-hour day shifts Schedule: 4 shifts per week; weekend and holiday coverage may be required Orientation: 36 hours Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,160 - $2,270 Charting System: Epic Job Requirements 3 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience in a high-acuity, high-volume setting Experience in high-risk obstetrics and fast-paced women’s health or perinatal care environments Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission BLS and NRP required ACLS and AWHONN Advanced preferred Comfort with electronic fetal monitoring and Epic charting Ability to circulate and provide newborn care, including APGARs, eye prophylaxis, vitamin K administration, thigh assessments, and full newborn assessments Experience with C-sections, high-risk deliveries, and postpartum recovery preferred 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of recent experience within the last 3 years Willingness to float to postpartum, antepartum, and nearby sister facilities as needed Responsibilities Provide skilled, compassionate care to laboring patients and newborns in a busy Labor and Delivery unit Support high-risk and high-volume deliveries while maintaining safe, efficient patient care Circulate in the OR and assist with C-sections when needed Serve as the baby nurse during delivery and continue newborn care through transfer to postpartum Monitor fetal status, recognize changes, and respond appropriately to clinical needs Administer medications and therapies as ordered, including oxytocin, magnesium sulfate, insulin, and antihypertensives Perform newborn assessments, thermoregulation support, and couplet care Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote safe, efficient patient outcomes Float to postpartum or antepartum units based on unit needs Apply now to join this exciting Seattle healthcare travel nursing opportunity and make an impact in women’s health today.
