Insurance Defense Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks a litigation defense attorney in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in civil litigation and the ability to manage complex cases independently. This role offers the opportunity to work with diverse clients across multiple jurisdictions. Duties Manage cases from inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation. Draft motions, briefs, and legal memoranda. Take and defend depositions. Appear in court, hearings, and mediations. Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts. Develop case strategies and provide legal analysis. Collaborate with attorneys and support staff. Requirements 10+ years of civil litigation experience. Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex litigation. Significant experience in construction litigation, insurance defense, or coverage matters. Strong leadership, client management, and case strategy skills. Trial experience preferred. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Licensed to practice law in Virginia. Skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
