The Jr. Search Strategist supports client and internal marketing efforts through research-driven insights, content creation, and performance analysis. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow in a collaborative agency environment.

Jr. Search Specialist Job Responsibilities:

60% SEO Research, Analysis & Strategy

Conduct keyword research, keyword mapping, and competitive analyses to inform content decisions

Use tools such as SEMRush, SpyFu, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Sheets, and Google Slides to organize and present findings

Pull and analyze performance data using tools like Google Analytics

Translate metrics into insights and recommendations that inform content direction and optimization

Content Development & Optimization

Write new content and implement edits

Collaborate using Google Docs and AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT)

Publish and manage content in WordPress

30% Content Writing

Write new content and implement edits

Collaborate using Google Docs and AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT)

Publish and manage content in WordPress

10% Internal Marketing

Support Captivate’s internal marketing initiatives

Assist with website optimization, blog content, and occasional social media support

Jr. Search Strategist Desired Skills and Experience

1-2 years of hands-on SEO experience preferred

Effectively manage multiple projects and priorities

Proactively communicate: take initiative with new ideas, suggestions, and observations that arise from your work & industry trends related to your clients, update on timelines, and raise a hand when help is needed

Strive for excellence: doesn’t stop at done and voluntarily goes deeper

Demonstrate a genuine passion for research, insights, and continuous improvement

Stay current on AI, SEO, content, and digital marketing trends

Assist with social media research and content as it pertains to search, trends, and client goals

Assist with other projects as needed

Participate in meetings to understand client brands, goals, and success metrics
