Job Title: Bookkeeper (Distribution & Manufacturing Experience Required)

Location: Coral Springs, FL (On-Site)
Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Bookkeeper with direct experience in distribution and manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of QuickBooks , a working knowledge of sales tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions , and the ability to manage transactional accounting with precision. This role requires someone who understands inventory-driven businesses, cost flows, and the operational realities of a product-based company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations (bank, credit card, vendor accounts)

• Manage and reconcile inventory-related transactions, including COGS and adjustments

• Process vendor bills, purchase orders, and customer invoices in a distribution/manufacturing workflow

• Administer payroll support and expense tracking (as needed)

• Prepare and file sales tax returns across multiple states, ensuring compliance with nexus requirements

• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

• Generate financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and provide insights to management

• Coordinate with CPA or external accountants for tax filings and audits

• Maintain organized digital and physical financial records

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of bookkeeping experience in distribution, manufacturing, or product-based businesses

• Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop and/or Online)

• Strong understanding of sales tax rules , multi-state filings, and exemptions

• Experience with inventory accounting and cost tracking (FIFO, average cost, etc.)

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with ERP or inventory management systems integrated with QuickBooks

• Familiarity with job costing or custom production environments

• Prior experience supporting a growing small-to-mid-sized business

• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data reconciliation)
