Position: Medical Scheduler

Location: North Houston

Pay: $17–$20/hour, based on experience

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–7:00 PM CST

Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision and 401k.

About Our Client:

Addison Group is partnering with a growing outpatient healthcare organization seeking a Medical Scheduler to join their centralized scheduling team. This role focuses on coordinating physical therapy appointments and managing workers’ compensation referrals across an assigned region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule outpatient physical therapy appointments.
• Manage incoming patient referrals and ensure timely scheduling.
• Communicate with patients, clinics, referral sources, and insurance adjusters.
• Coordinate workers’ compensation referrals and appointments.
• Obtain necessary patient demographics and scheduling information.
• Review appointments and referral documentation for accuracy.
• Work referrals with a strong sense of urgency, with a goal of scheduling patients within 48 hours.
• Maintain clear communication with leadership regarding scheduling concerns.

Qualifications:

• Recent medical scheduling or experience required.
• Workers’ compensation claims/referral experience strongly preferred.
• Experience managing referrals and coordinating appointments.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new scheduling systems.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and sense of urgency.

• 100% onsite
• Call center environment
• Monday–Friday schedule - 10am-7pm
