Financial Analyst II

Financial AnalystBAE Systems, a global leader in the defense industry, is seeking a Financial Analyst based in Radford, VA. You will support the Ordnance Systems Inc. (OSI) business's modernization portfolio, which includes a variety of construction, sustainment, and retrofit projects. You will support the group and management in the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of projects varying from contract types, sizes, and complexities.Responsibilities:Interface with program management on assigned projectsProject setup duties including cost center creation and WBS alignment, and monitoring all program expendituresSupport month-end closing activities, including preparation of journal entries and revenue recognition in line with IFRS 15Prepare monthly contract status reports and coordinate monthly meetings with each PM to review and present program financial dataComplete monthly account reconciliationsMonitor and reconcile all costs against project budgetsFacilitate estimate at complete (EAC) forecasts and identify key drivers of variances vs. plan, and identify risks and opportunities to planSupport weekly salient flash updatesSupport internal audit & financial control framework testingPrepare and report QBR and IBP salient forecasts and enter forecast data into HyperionAssist with completion of risks and opportunities chartsSupport proposal processes, including basis of estimate development and cash flow analysesSupport other ad hoc analysis, projects, and/or financial data requestsManage multiple assignments/projects simultaneouslyDevelop desktop procedures and lead process improvement initiativesRequired Education, Experience, & Skills:Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of related work experience or equivalent experienceAbility to support Program Finance, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) conceptsAbility to work cross-functionally and independently with minimal supervision and in a fast-paced environmentAbility to develop and maintain professional and effective relationships with internal and external customersMS Office/Excel skillsPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills:Degree in accounting, finance, or MBAExperience in Defense/Government ContractingExperience in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) a plusExperience in Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)Experience with Oracle HyperionPay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $61278 - $104173 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
