Job Description:
Savvy Staffing Solutions is seeking a Wire Cutter to join a manufacturing team. The Wire Cutter is responsible for cutting, measuring, and preparing wire and cable according to customer specifications and production orders. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and a commitment to producing quality products safely and efficiently.
This is a great opportunity for an entry-level manufacturing candidate looking to gain hands-on experience. Training is provided for the right candidate!
Responsibilities:
- Operate wire-cutting equipment to cut wire and cable accurately according to job specifications
- Measure, cut, spool, and bundle wires and cables based on production orders
- Verify wire lengths, sizes, and quantities meet customer requirements
- Complete production orders accurately and efficiently
- Inspect equipment to ensure proper operation
- Report equipment issues or production concerns to the supervisor
- Follow all safety procedures and manufacturing guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to learn and operate production equipment
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good hand dexterity and ability to work with small components
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required
- Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply!
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods (3–4 hours at a time)
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks requiring hand coordination
- Ability to visually inspect small components and finished products
