Operational Documentation Specialist
The Department of Information Technology is seeking a Work Study Student for the role Operational Documentation Specialist to help enhance our operational efficiency. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process documentation across various departments, ensuring consistency, clarity, and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Create clear, concise, and comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that outline step-by-step instructions for various tasks and processes.
- Research and analyze current workflows to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement.
- Regularly review and update process documentation to reflect any changes or improvements made to existing processes.
- Act as a resource for employees, answering inquiries related to SOPs and process documentation.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented processes, seeking feedback from stakeholders and making necessary adjustments.
- Assist in the implementation of process management tools and technologies to facilitate documentation and tracking.
Requirements
- Must be a current student enrolled at Life University.
- Must have been awarded Federal Work Study Funding.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in using documentation software and tools.
- Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
- Strong Computer skills; data entry and spreadsheet software capabilities
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify process bottlenecks and suggest improvements.
