About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Accounting Officer to take on a pivotal role in overseeing and directing all corporate accounting functions. This includes financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing a high-performing, dispersed accounting team, managing complex organizational integrations, and driving process improvements, particularly in the post-acquisition phase. Collaboration with executive leadership to develop scalable accounting operations that align with the company's growth objectives is also a key aspect of the role. Applicants for the Chief Accounting Officer position at the company must have a CPA certification and a minimum of 15 years' progressive corporate accounting experience within large, complex organizations. The role requires proven expertise in post-acquisition integration, purchasing accounting, and organizational change management. Strong leadership and mentorship skills are essential, as is the ability to manage remote teams across multiple locations. Advanced knowledge of accounting systems, ERP implementations, and process improvement methodologies is a must, along with excellent executive presence, communication, and stakeholder management abilities. While not mandatory, prior experience in the real estate or property management industries, client-facing industry experience, and familiarity with scalable accounting systems in a national organizational context are considered advantageous. A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required, with a Master's degree or MBA being a plus.
