Senior Bookkeeper

Role Description

Bullpen Talent is seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to support the financial operations of a growing U.S.-based business. This is a long-term, part-time contractor role requiring approximately 5–10 hours per week. Workload is generally light but increases around mid-month (customer invoicing) and month-end close, so reliability during these periods is essential. • Maintain accurate books in QuickBooks Online
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts
• Manage accounts payable and vendor payments
• Prepare and send customer invoices
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices
• Process payments through Bill.com
• Record payroll and contractor transactions
• Review transactions for proper coding and classification
• Assist with monthly financial close
• Prepare basic financial reports, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet
• Investigate discrepancies and resolve accounting issues
• Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation
• Work directly with management and external CPA as needed

Qualifications

• 5+ years of bookkeeping experience supporting U.S. businesses
• Advanced QuickBooks Online experience
• Strong understanding of U.S. bookkeeping principles
• Experience completing monthly reconciliations independently
• Experience managing both accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Reliable computer and high-speed internet
