Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery to provide skilled maternity care in a fast-paced hospital environment. The role involves managing both low and high-risk obstetric patients, neonatal care, and supporting the delivery process.
Responsibilities
- Administer prenatal, labor, and postpartum care to obstetric patients.
- Monitor fetal heart rates using external fetal monitoring techniques.
- Recognize and respond to abnormal fetal heart rate patterns promptly.
- Circulate for C-sections, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
- Float to Perinatal units as needed, covering various obstetric services.
- Provide on-call coverage and respond to emergency situations as required.
Qualifications
- Active California RN license required at submission.
- Minimum of 3 years of labor and delivery nursing experience.
- Proficient in external fetal monitoring and recognition of fetal distress.
- Certified in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN credentials.
- Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of OB unit systems such as SBAR, Omnicell, and Allscripts.
- Ability to work night shifts (312-hour shifts) and most holidays.
