Outside Sales Representative

Koetter Woodworking, Inc. is an industry-leading manufacturer of architectural mouldings, doors, stair parts, custom millwork, and related wood products. Who we are looking for: Koetter Woodworking is looking for an experienced Outside Sales Representative to join our team. This position comes with an established territory, long-standing dealer relationships, and customers who already know and trust Koetter Woodworking. This is a relationship-driven sales role focused on maintaining and growing existing accounts while identifying new opportunities within established markets. The right person will be comfortable building relationships at every level—from dealer principals and sales teams to builders, architects, designers, and installers in the field. What you'll do: Manage and grow an established book of business throughout a regional territory covering portions of Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, and Kansas, including Chicago, St. Louis, and Topeka. Identify new opportunities within existing markets and develop relationships with prospective customers. Build and maintain strong relationships with dealer principals, sales teams, builders, architects, designers, and other industry professionals. Conduct dealer product training and presentations to architectural groups. Work closely with our Inside Sales team on quotes, orders, customer questions, and problem-solving. Travel regularly throughout the territory. Overnight travel averages approximately 4–6 nights per month , along with additional day trips. What we're looking for: Experience in the millwork or building-materials industry is strongly preferred. Outside sales or other customer-facing sales experience. Strong relationship-building and customer service skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong organizational, time-management, and follow-up skills. Willingness and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory. Candidates should reside in the Kentuckiana/Louisville metro area . When not traveling, this position works from our facility in Borden, Indiana . Compensation includes a base salary plus bonus , with bonus compensation tied to overall company profitability rather than individual sales numbers. Mileage is reimbursed for business travel.
