Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required in Neuro MS/Telemetry License: Active license required before start date Certifications: BCLS Must-Have: - Telemetry experience required - Neuro telemetry experience preferred Description: The position involves providing care in a mixed unit with two primary service lines: Ortho-Trauma and Client. Patient populations include those undergoing orthopedic surgery and neurology patients, including those recovering from stroke and general neurology issues. The average patient ratio is 1:4-5 for both day and night shifts. Candidates must possess skills such as blood product administration, central line care/management, and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Knowledge of isolation precautions, non-invasive airway management, and telemetry is essential. In addition, experience with wound care and management of tracheostomy patients is advantageous. The unit offers interdisciplinary support from various departments, including Physical Therapy and Social Services. Daily census is approximately 30 patients, with potential fluctuations in patient diagnoses. Travel personnel must have experience in their specialty and comply with internal staffing policies. This position requires flexibility to float between units as needed. Candidates should communicate any vacation plans during their application process to ensure realistic start dates.
