Qualifications Required Qualifications Minimum of two (2) years of recent clinical RN experience in a relevant specialty area Flexibility to orient and work across all UCSF Medical Center locations In-depth knowledge of one or more clinical specialty areas, including diagnoses, treatments, standards of practice, and patient/family education resources Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex issues and develop effective solutions Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex and/or sensitive information clearly and concisely Advanced interpersonal skills, including the ability to educate, train, and provide direction to nursing staff and build effective relationships with patients, families, staff, and external partners Bachelor’s degree or Master’s entry-level degree in Nursing from an accredited program Licensure and Certifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program Certified Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) or licensure/certification in an advanced practice nursing discipline (e.g., Nurse Practitioner) About UCSF ABOUT US The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is a leading university dedicated to promoting health worldwide through advanced biomedical research, graduate-level education in the life sciences and health professions, and excellence in patient care.
