Procurement Manager

AP Executive Staffing is seeking a strategic procurement and contracts leader who enjoys improving processes, strengthening vendor relationships, and building efficient systems. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this highly visible leadership role combines contract management, procurement strategy, financial analysis, vendor governance, and process improvement. Key responsibilities Manage the full lifecycle of vendor contracts, including drafting, negotiation, renewals, compliance, and closeout. Review contract language to identify financial, legal, insurance, and operational risks while negotiating favorable business terms. Lead RFP and RFQ processes and support strategic vendor selection. Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships while monitoring vendor performance and contract compliance. Analyze purchasing trends, spending, and vendor performance to identify cost savings and process improvements. Oversee purchasing operations and provide leadership to a small procurement team. Improve procurement workflows through technology, automation, and ERP optimization. Maintain organized contract documentation, insurance compliance, and vendor records. Partner with Finance, Operations, IT, Facilities, and executive leadership to support purchasing initiatives and organizational objectives. Develop policies, procedures, and best practices that strengthen procurement controls and operational efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field. Five or more years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, contract management, or vendor management. Strong experience negotiating commercial contracts and managing supplier relationships. Solid understanding of contract law, risk management, indemnification, insurance requirements, and compliance. Experience with ERP systems and technology‑driven process improvements. Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and project management skills.
